Starting the Pakistani leg of the journey in Lahore, the bustling cultural capital, travelers are greeted with a vibrant mix of historical landmarks, bustling bazaars, and mouth-watering street food. The Walled City, with its narrow lanes and stunning architecture, is a testament to the rich Mughal heritage of the region.

As the journey continues, adventurers venture into the wilderness of Northern Pakistan, where the mighty Himalayas and Karakoram ranges command attention. The Fairy Meadows, Nanga Parbat, and Hunza Valley offer breathtaking views and opportunities for outdoor activities like trekking, mountaineering, and paragliding.

No journey through Pakistan would be complete without a visit to the captivating city of Islamabad, the country's modern capital. Nestled in the Margalla Hills, Islamabad offers a serene escape from the chaos of urban life, with its lush green parks, stunning architecture, and serene atmosphere.

From Islamabad, the journey continues towards the southwestern province of Balochistan, where adventurers get a glimpse into the rugged beauty of the Makran Coastal Highway. The awe-inspiring landscapes, desolate deserts, and pristine beaches create a surreal experience that stays etched in the memory.

'Dhaka to Dakar' was my backpacking dream. To travel, as much by land as possible, from Dhaka in Bangladesh to Dakar, in Senegal West Africa. This is the fourth chapter of my journey, where I visited Pakistan.
A glimpse into Pakistan as I continue overland westward. Pakistan held a number of fears for me, including personal safety, but I met so many wonderful people here and saw so many incredible things that these concerns soon melted away.
I traveled from Lahore in the east to Multan where India was playing Pakistan in test cricket for the first time in many years, and further south to the breathtaking ruins at Uch Schariff. I ventured backwards on my journey to go to Rawalpindi and Islamabad, the capital, and then to the Afghan border near Peshawar via the Khyber Pass. Then westward and southward again, I visited Quetta before taking a bus across the desert to Iran. Pakistan was exciting, different, welcoming and always an adventure. Please share my experiences with me!
