An interesting conversation about what it's like to live in Turkey was the spark that lit the light of this short book's idea: "Things that can take you by surprise while you're in Turkey as a foreigner." We said to ourselves, "It's better to let other people know them than to be taken by surprise..." so we wanted this book to be as documented as possible. Obviously, not all of them are legit for everyone or every region, of course there are isolated cases, maybe depending on the area or city where they were seen, in the end, they are just simple things noticed by some foreigners, but we found it very interesting to record them and we publish them as they represent the perception of some friends who arrived on Turkish soil.
